West Coast College is proud to congratulate two exceptional student entrepreneurs from our Atlantis Campus who excelled at the prestigious Allan Gray Makers Entrepreneurship Inter-College Competition, which took place recently at Northlink College’s Tygerberg Campus.
Bringing together the best student entrepreneurs from the Northern and Western Cape region to vie for a place to represent the region at the upcoming national competition, the event showcased talent, innovation, and determination.

Solomzi Ndingandinga, from Atlantis Campus, achieved second place in the “I have an innovative business idea” category, while Lerato Phoko, also from Atlantis Campus, secured third place in the “I have a general business” category at the regional competition.

These remarkable achievements are a testament to the dedication, creativity, and perseverance of our students, as well as the guidance and support provided by our college team.

Mr André Muller, Acting Deputy Principal: Innovation & Development, expressed his pride, stating: “We are proud of these student entrepreneurs and we hope that by giving them this sort of exposure, they will take the experience and include it not just to establish a thriving enterprise but build on it to become even more successful and employ people in the community to help alleviate the scourge of unemployment that our country and communities are experiencing.”

These achievements highlight the College’s commitment to fostering entrepreneurship and equipping students with the skills and confidence needed to make a meaningful impact in their communities.
