THE INCUBATION PROGRAMME
The Centre has four programme offering for 2023/24 to support for businesses and these include firstly the generic business incubation programme (GBIP); secondly the digital entrepreneurship (DEP); thirdly the trades business development programme (TBDP) and lastly the entrepreneurship development programme (EDP) which is aimed at providing entrepreneurship awareness among students.

GBIP DEP TBDP EDP
  • An 18-month programme aimed at supporting SMMEs in all sectors.

 

  • Aimed   at   supporting pre-start up and start ups.

 

  • Pre-incubation-6 months (Upskilling) Business   skills development; Personal development; technical skills; Regulatory compliance.

 

  • Incubation-12 months (Market validation)
  • Coding training provided using Python, HTML and CSS     for     unemployed youth.

 

  • Participants are able to develop live websites, web apps and to offer IT support.

 

  • 5hour workshops twice per week for 12 months.

 

  • Business skills development and coaching to establish tech businesses.
  • Aimed      at      students registered in occupational programmes to gain business skills thus enabling the establishment of businesses.

 

  • Entrepreneurs will receive support in the form of coaching and mentorship, access to funding and linkages to markets.

 

  • Workshops      will      be conducted on weekends or during vacations.

 

  • Duration is 12 months.
  • Aimed    at    equipping students with skills to transition from ideas to establishment of businesses.

 

  • Grow   part-time businesses or hobbies (side hustles).

 

  •  1–   day   workshops introduction to entrepreneurship

 

  • 3day Business   idea Bootcamps leading to validation of business concept.

 

  • Participants are assisted with business compliance.
