West Coast College has proudly secured the 2026 Maties Ladies Soccer League Championship, with the team delivering an extraordinary 7–0 victory over Huis Russel Botman in the tournament final. The match was a scintillating showcase of skill, teamwork, and determination from the West Coast College side.
From the opening whistle, the ladies demonstrated remarkable coordination, tactical intelligence, and unyielding spirit. Their dominant performance not only earned them the championship but also highlighted the strength of West Coast College’s sporting culture and the calibre of its student-athletes.
Mr Sipho Mfazwe, West Coast College Sport, Arts and Culture Officer, said: “This year, our ladies have put in the work and have come out on top as the champions of this prestigious competition. We applaud their hard work and know that this will stay with them in the years to come as they pave the way for the young ladies who are currently studying at the college and who would also like to, one day, be recognised on such a prestigious platform. We will continue pushing and working to develop our students to become the best versions of themselves, through our Sport, Arts and Culture programme at the college.”
