West Coast TVET College has recently broken new ground with the first sod turning as part of the first phase in the construction of the college’s 4IR Centre that has now started at the Atlantis Campus of West Coast TVET College.

The college envisages that this Centre will be the hub of technological skills and training programmes that will equip the communities that Atlantis Campus serves with the future skills needed in the years to come.

“This forms part of the college’s vision to be an internationally recognized Technical, Vocational, Education and Training (TVET) institution responsive to the skills development and training needs of the 21st century,” added the college Principal: Lungisa Mbulawa.

The college plans to offer various programmes such as Mechatronics, Internet of things and robotics to name but a few.

“These future skills will indeed be needed to grow not only the communities we serve as a college but will also offer our students the opportunities to gain employment with these future and even in those companies that have not yet been created,” added the Principal.
