West Coast College Chamber choir were crowned the “kings and queens of sing” as they took home the top spot during the provincial CoSACSA event held in Louwville, Vredenburg recently.
The long hours paid off as the group of students from Atlantis and Malmesbury let their voice be heard as they took on Northlink and Falsbay college’s chamber choirs.
The three choirs sang 2 songs each and while they all were magnificent, there could only be one winner.
“We are ecstatic that our choir will be representing the Western Cape and we know that they will make us proud,” says Rhazia Hamza, Deputy Principal: Innovation and Development at West Coast College.
The Western Cape Arts and Culture team, that includes Drama and solo artists from the participating colleges in the Western Cape, will be leaving to represent the Western Cape in East London at the National CoSACSA Arts and Cultural Festival.
“We will be holding all our thumbs as our students represent West Coast College and the Western Cape at the festival and know that they are already winners in our eyes,” added Hamza.
