REQUIREMENTS:

  • Matric / Grade 12
  • 3 years National Diploma (NQF L6) or Degree (NQF Level 7) in Education
  • 5 years’ management experience in Education environment and in TVET institution, school or department
  • SACE Certificate compulsory
  • Advanced experience in the development of policies/ implementation strategies
  • A valid driver’s licence compulsory
  • Knowledge of online teaching change management and leadership; diversity management skills
  • Knowledge of policies and governance environment of TVET Colleges including knowledge of the annual reporting requirements by the Higher Education Institutions
  • Knowledge and understanding of the monitoring of performance management development system

DUTIES: Responsible for the professional management of the campus. Lead and co-ordinate day to day management of staff, students and campus activities. Lead and support designated staff to ensure students attainment; recruitment of students; support and contribute to the implementation of college transformation policies and strategic plans. Promotion of online teaching. Lead and co-ordinate the construction and development of the campus plan. Promote college’s strategies for the development and effective use of information and learning technologies. Maintain contact with parents, guardians and sponsors relating to the behaviour and performance of students. Develop strong and vibrant relationships with social and community organisations. Provide relevant and timely management information. Contribute to the audit review and monitoring process related to corporate objectives. Manage facilities, infrastructure and student support services. Monitor usage of funds allocated to the campus. Marketing of services and networking with industry. Accountable for institutional quality assurance at campus level. Extensive knowledge and understanding of the TVET sector.  Sound knowledge and experience of financial management, project management and Human Resource development strategies. Strong interpersonal, communication, motivational, negotiation and problem solving skills.  Well-developed organisational, planning and management skills.

 

POST:                ASSISTANT DIRECTOR: MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS (REF NO WCTVETC 1/4/0048)

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Matric / Grade 12
  • 3 years National Diploma (NQF L6) or Degree (NQF Level 7) in Communication / Marketing.
  • 5 years working experience communication environment
  • 3 years working experience at supervisory level
  • A valid driver’s licence compulsory
  • Knowledge of policies and governance environment of TVET Colleges including knowledge of the annual reporting requirements by the Higher Education Institutions

DUTIES: Manage and co-ordinate marketing, promotions and branding. Develop and manage college brand identity. Manage all college signage and document branding (letterheads, certificates, etc.). Formulate and ensure implementation of the college branding strategy, develop and produce college publications, i.e. banners, information brochures, annual reports, pamphlets and programme information.  Manage public relations and media liaison services. Manage all media and general community liaison and communications. Manage all college events including exhibitions participation, prize-giving, official functions and special marketing events. Co-ordinate of media queries and responses as when required. Tracking all the positive and negative stories on the college including forwarding these to the relevant managers. Regularly communication College on social media and online communication. Regularly maintain the content, design and layout of the college website.  Co-ordinate College events and provide communication administrative support. Provide photographic services and write stories for the colleges. Draft articles for the department/college ‘s electronic newsletter. Marketing the department through branding at these events. Management of all Human, Financial and other resources of the unit. Render management service to the staff. Manage the development and performance of the staff. Manage the performance agreement of the staff.
