DUTIES: Facilitate financial Management reporting: Provide an effective and efficient financial reporting service for the college in terms of legislative mandates; Consulate annual financial statements for the college; Monitor the monthly financial management reporting processes (income expenditure, capital expenditure, debtor management and cash flow) for the department; Submission of annual financial statements.

Facilitate budget control: Setting and providing all budgets for TVET college to the CFO for approval; Arranging and Preparing all documentation for the finance and budget committee; Checking of creditors and monthly bank statements reconciliation according to indicative budgets; Ensure that TVET college comply with financial regulations and report monthly.

Provide support for Audit processes (internal and external): Assist the Chief Financial Officer in ensuring all statutory requirements of the college are met; Analyze audit reports, manage letters and audit implementation plans to identify financial management support strategies; Assist Chief Financial Officer in the preparation of information for the annual audit; Assisting the external auditors during auditing, clearing of the auditor‘s report; Facilitation of the annual external financial audit of the college, ensuring that audit deadlines are met by clearly indicating time frames to external; auditors as well as obtaining a clear audit plan.

Manage and administer payroll: Ensure that employees payroll and financial information is secure and stored in compliance with current legislation; Maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control and petty cash; Controlling the total payroll budget continuously advising executive management and human resources on the feasibility and affordability of employment of new staff; Ensuring all payroll data and transactions are accurately and timeously processed.

Administer, control and monitor payments: Administering and control of creditors and debtor’s payments; Administer and control requisitions for payments and orders; Check and submit requisitions for payment of salary advances for staff members; Ensure accurate monthly reconciliations of creditors accounts statements against the account payable.
