Invites qualified applicants to apply for the following positions

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS OF COUNCIL MEMBERS TO SERVE AT WEST COAST TECHNICAL VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING (TVET) COLLEGE IN  TERMS OF SECTION 10(6) OF THE CET COLLEGES ACT NO16 OF 2006 (AS AMENDED).

West Coast TVET College is amongst top performing public TVET Colleges, serving communities across West Coast Region.  The College has five campuses namely: Atlantis Campus, Citrusdal Campus, Malmesbury Campus, Vredenburg Campus and Vredendal Campus.  We offer a range of programmes responsive to local and national economic needs, across the fields of Business Studies, Engineering, Hospitality and Tourism.

West Coast TVET College invites members of:

  1. The public;
  2. Members of the local business community;
  3. Relevant non-government organisations.

To nominate persons by virtue of the fact that they can give expression to:

  • Ensuring that the functions of the Council are performed according to the highest professional standards.
  • Ensuring that the Council is broadly representative of the TVET sector and its related interests.
  • Ensuring that the Council members have a thorough knowledge and understanding of the TVET sector.
  • Appreciating the role of TVET colleges in reconstruction and development.
  • Ensuring that the Council is broadly representative of the community served by the West Coast TVET College respect of race, gender and disability.
  • Ensure that the nominated Council Members reside within a reasonable distance from the College.

Four (4) positions are available on the Council of the West Coast TVET College.  Preference will be given to persons with the following expertise:

  • Legal
  • Human Resource Management and Administration
  • Information Technology Governance
  • Financial Management
