West Coast College proudly celebrates the outstanding achievements of its students at the CoSACSA National Academic Eisteddfod, held in Mpumalanga from 22 to 24 August 2025. The prestigious event brought together TVET College students from across South Africa to showcase their academic skills, talent and dedication.
Debating Awards
• Western Cape Debating Team 2 – 2nd Place
o Thina Kewuti (West Coast College Malmesbury Campus) played an integral role in the Western Cape Debating Team, which secured second place in the national competition.

Individual Awards – Maths Literacy Olympiad
• Level 2: 2nd Place – Biolin Damon (West Coast College Malmesbury Campus)
• Level 3: 3rd Place – Sikelela Mzuzwana (West Coast College Vredendal Campus)

Reflecting on these achievements, Mr Andre Muller, Deputy Principal (Acting): Innovation and Development, said: “These results are a true reflection of the hard work, perseverance and commitment of our students and lecturers. We are immensely proud of the way they represented the College on a national stage.”

The College affirms that these accomplishments at the Academic Eisteddfod highlight its ongoing pursuit of academic excellence both inside and outside the classroom. Such milestones not only celebrate individual talent but also strengthen the College’s mission to prepare students to thrive in their studies, careers and communities.
