POST:                            E-LEARNING STRATEGIC MANAGER (REF NO. WCTVETC 1/6/0055)
CONTRACT:                 College Council (Three-year contract)
SALARY:                       R 394 032. 00 (PL 2) per annum plus structured benefits

REQUIREMENTS                    

  • Matric /grade 12.
  • 3 Year diploma in education.
  • Specialize qualification in Information and Communication Technology filled advantageous.
  • Sound knowledge in theory and practical application of online teaching and learning, general management principles, project management, WCC and DHET online strategy and blended learning policy, DHET TVET assessment and ICASS guidelines.
  • Ability to use technology in teaching and learning.
  • Experience on teaching in the TVET sector, improvement plans and development, lecturer development, use of technology in teaching and learning.
  • Ability to use technology in teaching and learning.
  • Teacher training / facilitator training.
  • A Valid driver’s license.

DUTIES: The e-Learning Manager is accountable for the implementation and development of e-learning across the curriculum and maintaining the e-Learning strategy of the College. The successful candidate will be tasked to promote innovation in the use of e-learning/blended-learning, teaching and research throughout the curriculum and to enable and support all staff in the cultural and curriculum changes needed to utilize new technologies and learning materials; Set up initial Moodle installation of West Coast TVET College LMS. Managed data integrity of on-line learning student Provide troubleshooting assistance and training of staff on new Moodle LMS for the College. Develop and maintain an E-Learning vision and 5-year strategy for E-Learning. Ensure the E-Learning Polices are reviewed and updated; Lead and monitor the E-Learning strategy in the college; Ensure relevant information is disseminated to all staff regarding the use of ICT and E-learning platforms; To annually survey staff, students and other relevant stakeholders in the effective use of ICT and E-learning platforms for teaching and learning.; To actively promote the use of E-Leaning strategies in teaching and learning; To actively promote the safe use of E-Leaning.

 

POST:                            SUPPLY CHAIN AND ASSET MANAGEMENT CLERK (REF NO. WCTVETC 1/3/0043)
CONTRACT:               College Council Permanent
SALARY:                      R 202 233. 00 (SL5) per annum plus structured benefits
CENTRE:                     Central Office (Malmesbury)

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Matric / Grade 12, with Accounting as subject.
  • 3-year diploma in relevant field
  • 2 Years procurement experience
  • 2-3 years’ administration experience
  • Experience in computerized procurement systems.
  • Experience in dealing with high volumes of work and fast-moving commodities.
  • A Valid driver’s license

DUTIES: Review requests received for service/goods on the College’s system; Contact suppliers for quotations as per guidelines set out in the College SCM policy; Add quotations to electronic request on the College’s system; Present completed request and relevant paperwork to the Procurement Officer and/or Finance Manager for approval; Process request to an “ Order Status” and place order with supplier; Follow up on delivery of items with suppliers and with staff; Match orders with invoices from suppliers; Identify and resolve any discrepancies and forward to creditors department for payment; Compile progress reports and resolve commitments.

 

POST:                            FUNDRAISING CO-ORDINATOR (REF. NO. WCTVETC 1/4/0054)
CONTRACT:                College Council Permanent
SALARY:                        R 359 517. 00 (SL 8) per annum plus structured benefits
CENTRE:                      Central Office  (Malmesbury)

REQUIREMENTS:                

  • Matric / Grade 12
  • National Diploma Fundraising or Public Management or Public Relations
  • Minimum 3 Years experience in fundraising; financial administration and budget management
  • Proven networking, donor cultivation and relationship building.
  • Valid driver’s license compulsory

DUTIES: Implement campaigns by preparing fundraising strategies; plans and objectives, planning and organising promo publications; accomplishing calendars; support campus fundraising staff by providing strategies; plans, data, market trends, forecasts, analysis, new products information; relaying donor requests; plan meetings by identifying, assembling and coordinating requirements; establishing contacts; developing schedules and assignments; coordinating mailing lists; manage and co-ordinate the maintenance of all QMS and external donor contact; manage and co-ordinate the distributing of fundraising marketing material; monitors budget by comparing and analysing actual results with plans and forecasts; updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading trade publications; accomplishes organisation goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different request; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments; plans, manages and implements in partnership with the marketing team fundraising initiatives; ensures annual fundraising targets are achieved.

Skills and abilities: Fundraising; financial administration and budget management skills; proven networking, donor cultivation and relationship building skills; good proposal writing abilities; ethical and professional approach to fundraising; ability to perform under pressure; work experience in education or youth-related sector advantageous; ability to communicate at all levels within the presentation; good organisational; written; administration; projects management; time management; presentation and networking skills required. Code 08 Drivers license and must be willing to travel.
