 DUTIES: Achievement of the requisite pass rate through the monitoring of assessments, attendance, retention of students and certification; monitor the implementation of Teaching and Learning; monitor the subject improvement plans; monitor implementation of the Tutor system; monitor the standardization of timetables, Sim & workshops; monitor implementation of WBE during the year to achieve the college targets; meaningful participation and support of the College Academic Board; provide strategic leadership regarding the proficient delivery of NC(V) offering; responsible for the management of assessment process at the College. Liaising with all staff e.g.: Heads of Departments regarding tools; monitor the moderation process in all levels; manage the college operations including academic, administration and lecturers for imparting quality programme delivery to students; responsible for NC(V) programme; formulate strategies and policies related to performance and ensure its implementation and target achievement as per the Monitoring and Evaluation tool; building a strong network of contacts with other institutions and industries; ensuring that day to day operations of the NC(V) programmes in campuses are effectively and efficiently coordinated; monitor implementation of staff training sessions in conjunction with other managers.

REQUIREMENTS: A recognised 3 or 4 year Degree/Diploma in the relevant field which must include a teaching qualification; At least 3 years lecturing experience, preferably in a TVET Sector; Accreditation as an Assessor and Moderator would be a strong recommendation; Sound communication skills; Ability to monitor and facilitate Students and Lecturers’ performance and provide critical feedback in an objective manner; Good planning, organising, administration, monitoring and evaluation skills; SACE registration; Extensive knowledge of policies governing academic assessment and moderation procedures. Sound knowledge of the TVET Colleges landscape and DHET policies pertinent to teaching and learning.  Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines. Ability to manage performance and provide critical feedback in an objective manner. A valid driver’s licence is essential as travelling and extended working hours will be required.

DUTIES: Manage registration of students and student induction procedure in co-operation with other line managers. Planning of educator work allocation, Assisting Campus Manager with compilation of the time table in line with College Teaching and Learning plan. Co-ordinate the procurement of the programme’s training needs. Provide guidance on syllabi, curriculum and learning outcomes. Implement and monitor all policies that impact on learning delivery including examination and certification of students within the department. Create a conducive classroom environment and ensure efficient classroom management and discipline of students. Liaise with the Lectures, other Programme Managers and Student Support Officers in providing support interventions programme to students. Manage and facilitate Students Work Based Experience (WBE) as well as Lectures Workplace Integrated Learning (WIL). Management of Labour relations matters. Management of performance appraisal of educators including annual revision of job descriptions.
