LECTURER POSITION
(Ref: WCC 94/18)EIC – Electrical Infrastructure Construction (Citrusdal Campus)
Salary: Starting salary notch R 198 774 plus benefits per annum (PL1)
Permanent position: Subject to 12 months’ probation period.
Requirements: An appropriate M+3 Electrical Engineering National/Bachelor’s Degree or N6 certificates with at least 3 years of relevant industry experience. A trade test certificate in Electrical Engineering, LIGHT CURRENT; must be SACE registration; A teacher’s qualification; Computer literate in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and internet; Relevant teaching experience preferably in a TVET College will be an added advantage; Assessor/moderator qualification and accreditation will be an added advantage

Duties: Organising, planning and lecturing; Responsible for effective classroom management; complete syllabus within the given timeframe; Compile POA and POE for allocated subjects; Administrative duties; Set, conduct and mark evaluations and assessments and provide feedback to students; moderate student assessments; Keep and maintain learners records and learner attendance records; Promote quality teaching and learning; Monitor student performance; Lesson planning and preparation; Provide academic support to learners; Conduct practical training to create an environment that is conducive to learning; Maintain discipline and safety of students at all times; Assist with additional academic support programmes; Attend academic meetings/workshops and training as requested; Support work-based placement and exposure for educators and learners.

Requirements: An appropriate M +3 National Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations/ Journalism/ Communication Science/ Marketing; A minimum of 2 years working experience in the field of communication A valid driver’s license.

Salary: Starting salary notch R299 709 plus benefits per annum (SL8)
Permanent position: Subject to 12 months’ probation period.
Requirements: An appropriate 3-year tertiary qualification (National Diploma/B-Degree) in Labour Relations/Human Resource Management/Law with a minimum of 1-year relevant experience; A valid code B driving license
Competencies: Knowledge of the following: National and Provincial instruments and legislation pertaining to human resource management with reference to the Public Service Act, Regulations, Labour Relations Act as well as other relevant Labour relations prescripts. Disciplinary and dispute resolution processes; Human Resource Management; Proven computer literacy in MS Office.
Skills in: Communication (verbal and written) in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape; Planning and organizing; Conflict resolution; monitoring, evaluation and reporting; Strong leadership and ability to display thought leadership in complex applications.
Duties: Handle grievances and misconduct matters; Render advice on misconduct and grievance matters; Do research regarding employee relations matters; Formulate, evaluate and monitor employee relations policy and procedures; Render a labour law advisory service; Represent the employer in the collective bargaining process (preparation and support); Coordinate the employer functions originating from the bargaining council; Implement and monitor the application of collective agreements; Keep up to date with regard to the applicable prescripts, policies, procedures, technologies, and new developments to be able to render an efficient and effective service.

Permanent position: Subject to 12 months’ probation period.
Salary: R482 706 (PL 5) plus benefits as applicable in the Public Service
Requirements: A recognized 3-year Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent qualification, including a professional qualification in education coupled with a minimum of 7 years’ actual and appropriate experience of which 3 years must be a managerial experience. Management experience working at a TVET College in the teaching and learning discipline will be an added advantage. Ability to analyze, interpret policies and develop guidelines to support students on the campus. A sound knowledge of Continuing Education and Training Act 16 of 2006 (As Amended). Knowledge of national examination and assessment policies. Good communication and writing skills. Computer literacy skills with specific reference to MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. An ability to work in teams and under pressure. Strategic, project, financial and time management skills. A driver’s license and registration with SACE.
Duties: Responsible for general and administration of the campus academic curriculum development. Manage the overall operations of the campus and ensure the smooth that the campus teaching and learning take place. Manage students’ academic performance and that of the lecturers and the administrative staff at the campus. Responsible for managing the Human Resource, Finance and Infrastructure activities of the campuses. Responsible for effective implementation of DHET policies of plans. Provide support, guidance, and mentorship to all manages of staff under their span control. To coordinate and oversee student activities as well as organize events. To provide superlative customer care and service catering to customer needs. To create a positive and enthusiastic team spirit and maintain motivation and staff rapport effectively. To coordinate cordial and transparent communication between the campus, client, service providers and Central Office. To liaise with divisions daily, both informally and at a scheduled meeting and communicate courteously to divisional heads and understanding their needs and expectations and cooperating with them at all times. To control the expenses budget, deal with petty cash according to Central Office procedures and maintain accurate accounting record and receipts.
